T-Ball!

Well I think its about time two things happen. One...it's time for a new post. And two...it's time for that post to be from me! I can't have Megan doing all the work! I am not as great at this as she is but I will give it my best shot!

It has been two months now since our last post. I'd like to say a lot has happened but we really are just plugging along. The biggest news I think is that Kaden has started playing T-ball! It certainly is great fun being able to go twice a week and watch him anf the other kids play. It takes me back to the time I enjoyed as a child playing baseball. It is something I have greatly missed and wished I wouldn't have given it up. But now I have a new opportunity, well WE do. Megan volunteered to help and was named coach of Kade's little team! With her as coach, naturally our fathers and I have gladly helped out as well.

It is a new experience for me working with children and I have to say I really love it! It can be a bit of a handful at times trying to get the kids to do what they are supposed to but it is a great experience nonetheless. You have to step back and realize they are still only 4 and 5 years old!

Watching these games is a hoot! With kids this young they all want to go get the ball when it is hit out to the field. It's really like herding chickens...they all go where the ball does. You try and teach them to stay where they are and wait for the ball to come to them, but the very next ball ends in the same result...a herd of children fumbling for a baseball. They have a great time though and I enjoy working with them and helping them get better. It's also great to work alongside my amazing girl, Megan.

This is something I will look forward to with every coming year being able to help these kids, especially Kade, learn to play the great game of baseball. I look forward to being able to be involved in whatever Kade wants to play or do. He is a great kid. And getting to spend time with him and Megan is the greatest time I have. I could not ask for better in my life. They are amazing.

Disney On Ice

A couple weeks ago we all headed out to Disney On Ice! It was Bryan's idea to get the tickets and it was certainly a fabulous idea! We went to the show with our parents and Kaden and had a fabulous time! Kaden was sooooo excited!! Gotta Love a Mickey Snow Cone! Kaden had his own seat down with Bryan and I, but he spent the entire show up with his favorite people! Kaden was so tired that he crashed with his new Kamo Bear and Sword. It was a fantastic night for everyone! I can't wait to do it again! -Megan

Little Things...

Sometimes in life it's the LITTLE things that count. After an epically rough day, when little things are done, it sure makes the hard stuff seem a bit easier! Lucky enough for me, I'm with a guy who recognized the little things and continues to AMAZE me on a regular basis!

After having a pretty rough day, Bryan surprised me with some BEAUTIFUL flowers. Was I expecting those? Not at all! Was I surprised? Absolutely! Did he have to go out of his way to do that for me? Nope. He sure didn't.

I honestly think that I am the LUCKIEST girl on the planet! He is such a sweetheart! And the best part is that it isn't something that goes away. He is constantly being sweet and caring. It's very different from what I'm used to in a guy and I certainly LOVE it!

We have an epically amazing weekend coming up that I'm so excited to share! Keep an eye out for some fantastic stuff coming from us! :)

Movie Day!

Last Saturday we planned to take Kaden to see Tron: Legacy. He had been asking to see it since it was featured on the Disney Channel, so I figured that we would eventually end up going! After figuring out time and location, my family decided that they wanted to come with us! So fun!

Now there are some for sure perks with living with your parents. Now imagine what it would be like to live with your Grandparents! It's pretty much a constant party! When we all got to the theater, I was figuring out drinks, popcorn, treats and all that other business. I knew that Kaden had walked over with my parents, but little did I know what they were up to!

Only with Grandma and Grandpa would this business happen! Gotta love it! Needless to say, we had a fabulous time at the movie and we are going to start going lots more! Hopefully it will be a Saturday afternoon tradition!

Bryan's Birthday Weekend!

I can't even tell you how excited I've been about Bryan's birthday! I have been waiting for it to come for weeks! I had the perfect plan in mind.. and I was actually able to pull it off! Yay!

Thursday night after the game, Bryan took Kaden and I home. He had no idea that I had been plotting with my mom all day to get ready to give him his birthday gifts. He needed to know what was happening a little before hand in order to pull it all off! When we got to my house I told him he better brace himself because we sure do love a birthday!

I raced around to do some last minute things and then the surprising began! I bought tickets for us to go see Linkin Park! Party! Along with those I thought he needed some of the fun pictures that we've been taking. So thanks so my amazing mom, they were all framed and ready to gift! My parents got him epic work gloves (gotta love orange camo!), a Green Bay shirt and Champion hat, and a Linkin Park shirt for the concert! Kaden gave him a Perry the Platypus shirt with another picture of the three of us. Needless to say, we were having quite the party!

Moving onto the actual Birthday... :)

I have to say that I take the birthday thing very seriously! I love, love, love my birthday and I love it even more to celebrate the birthday's of people I love! So Bryan had a day full with us! I made him German Pancake for breakfast and we spent the morning into afternoon playing Mario Kart! It was a blast!
This is the German Pancake all ready to eat! So yummy!

Kaden was pretty excited about the breakfast!

Then it was time to get ready for some more fun! Because of the looming storm, I decided it would be a good idea to take the train down to SLC. I didn't want to worry about driving and Bryan couldn't know all of the surprises! We had a great time chatting and laughing as we made our way down!

Once we were in the city, we headed to the Old Spaghetti Factory to eat. We both just happen to love it, so it was a must! After a yummy dinner, it was concert time! I must admit, I was more excited that Bryan was so excited about going. But as soon as the show got started, I realized just how many songs I knew! We ended up having a seriously amazing night!

Here are some pictures of the show! Linkin Park was beyond amazing! It was one of the best shows I've been to and I had the best company ever!

After the concert, we hurried right along to catch the train home. It was such a pleasant night in the city that we were sure the storm warning had been wrong! How lucky were we?! We strolled back to the train and had a fascinating time on the way home. Around the Layton area, I noticed that it had started snowing. Well... by the time we were back in Roy, it was a full blown blizzard!

I tried to be all cute and write Happy Birthday in the snow.... It didn't work out so well!

We had a great night and made lots of wonderful memories! I'm so glad we were able to go and have a super fun night out!

Mr. Kaden

Being a single mom, I have thought about the affects that dating would have on my Kaden. He is a kid who gets attached to the people he's around and he grows to love them very quickly. In previous relationships, I have been very concerned about how Kaden would be treated and accepted by the family of the guy I'm dating. It's something that weighed heavily on my mind when I started dating Bryan. I never really know how people will feel about Kaden and it was a concern for me.

However, the first time I met Harry & Trish, all of those concerns went away. I have never felt so great about Kaden getting to know and build relationships with family members of the guy I'm dating. They have welcomed us with open arms into their home and I couldn't be more grateful! I am truely blessed to have met them and I look forward to many more game nights and hockey games with their family!

I snapped this picture of them tonight as we watched the Hockey game. Kaden could've sat anywhere, but he wanted to squish right in with Harry and Trish! I'm so very glad they don't mind a 4 year old between them :)

Our Goal...

Bryan comes up with all sorts of GREAT ideas! This is a regular occurance in our relationship and I (Megan) happen to love it! I have been able to learn so much based off of these great ideas!

The most current idea that we are working on just happens to be a long term GOAL. Bryan sent me a text asking how I would feel about running the Disney Half Marathon. Half Marathon? That is 13.1 miles of running fun! Dang. I had my doubts that I could pull this one off. I mean really... That is a seriously long time to be running! But after about 2 seconds those doubts were gone. Bryan reassured me that we would be training TOGETHER and that we could push each other to finish our goal.

It was amazing to me that he could pull such CONFIDENCE out of me in such a short time! I admit, I have thrown the concept of being a runner out there many times in my life, but this time it's DIFFERENT. There is a whole new aspect that is coming into play. I have someone who is going to stick by me through this goal no matter what might happen.

I am so glad that we are taking on this challenge not only together, but with members of both of our FAMILIES. I think the entire training process will force us to rely on people in a different way. As I gear up to head out for my first run (out of many), I am feeling confident and EXCITED about our goal!

September 2012 will be here before we know it! Bring it ON!

Who We Are...

He's Bryan, She's Megan. The Little one is Kaden :)

After months of being friends, we went out. All 3 of us! December 28th, marked a fantastic day for everyone! A little Tangled and some Despicable Me is a fantastic way to start a relationship!

From there we have discovered everything that we have in common and the things that we don't. But through it all, we have learned to Love each other and look past everything that makes us different! (Megan even cheered for the Pack as they won the Super Bowl! Big step for her)

From Hockey, to The Bachelor, we seem to have it all! We don't argue and we spend the majority of our lives together. This blog is our way of keeping track of our memories. They are important to all 3 of us and we want to share them! You'll hear from each of us throughout this blogging journey. Our hope is to continually capture the time we spend together!
