Happy Birthday Bryan!!!

Yay for another fabulous birthday weekend! And this time I got to spoil my awesome husband :)

I must say, planning a birthday for a spouse is way different than planning one for a boyfriend... Way more pressure! Ha! I wanted to live up to last year (Linkin Park concert) but now that we have to be responsible grown ups, that just wasn't going to happen. As I thought about what to get him, I was faced with some choices. Bry like so many different things and the things he loves he has a lot of! I pondered for a long time trying to gather my thoughts on this, but I think I ended up getting it just right!

Star Wars playing cards!

A super cute pic for his desk at work!

Star Wars Episodes 4, 5 & 6 on Blu-ray!

Star Wars Pancake Molds!

It's so much fun watching someone open gifts! It's one of my favorite things :) After we ate our yummy pancakes, we had to head out for Kaden's last basketball game of the season. He kinda wasn't feeling so great, but he still went and played and did a really great job!

Just hangin out practicing the crab walk during the game... :)

His cute little team!

Receiving the super cool trophy and his certificate!

The awesome coaching staff :)

All of our awesome family that came out to support Kade! They all were there for the majority of the games! It's so amazing to have such a supportive family for Kaden :)

From the basketball game, we headed over to have a bowling party for Bryan! It was another fabulous bowling event and everyone had a great time :)

I would have to say that Bry had a great birthday! We ended the day by staying in for a night of laughs with Justin and Courtni! They came over and we played the Logo Game until the wee hours of the night. It was an absolute blast! I'm so grateful that we have such a fabulous family! It was a very good day! I'm also very glad that now my husband is the same age as me... No more teasing until October :)

Weekend of Fun!

Saturday the 18th, we had a busy day! We had loads of plans and had to make sure to get through them all! This is how our day started...

Seriously beyond darling!!! Kade got to bring home the CTR hero for his primary class! He decided that he wanted to show everyone how he's recycling. Awesome job Kade! **As a side note, Kaden is collecting cans to earn money. So far the money is for "A super secret surprise". He's being such a trooper and working very hard at collecting, smashing and keeping track of all his cans :) **

After we took care of that, we headed off to celebrate Grandma Judi's birthday at the bowling alley! Each year we get together as a big family and go bowling with Grandma Judi. She bowls in a league every week and manages to beat us all every year! It's a very fun time and something that even the little kids remember going to every year! We had a blast and can't wait to go with everyone again :)

When we finished up with bowling, we headed over to Grandma Judi's for cake and icecream. It was a great afternoon spent with lots of family! After the party, we had to head over to Kade's basketball game! Yay! he had missed 2 weeks from RSV, so he was super pumped up to play :)

Grandpa got to help coach!

Playing with the balls is so much more fun than playing in the game!

Kade did a great job in his game! I'm so glad that he had such a great experience playing basketball. Even though it may not seem like he learned a lot, I know that he grew and learned some great skills for next year.

As if we hadn't already crammed a whole bunch of stuff into this day, Bryan and I planned to go out for Valentine's! Since it was on a Tuesday this year, we didn't want to stir up our schedule too much, so we planned around it. Although we didn't have much of a plan to begin with, we came up with a great idea! We decided to splurge a little, well a lot! And we headed out to Tepanyaki! Neither of us had been there for a really long time, so we thought it would be a great date! When we got there, we learned that we had to return in an hour just to receive a pager! What?! That was a crazy long time! But, it was well worth it! We went and wandered the Layton mall for a bit and picked up some yummy popcorn! I love that we can just go and browse through things and still have such a great time!

We headed back to the restaurant and received our pager. We only had to wait another 20 minutes and then we were seated. Unfortunately for us, we were seated with this mega annoying girl. She was going off through the entire meal! But, it gave us something to laugh about, so all in all it ended up being a great date! After we picked up Kade, we came home and Bry put on Miracle. I had never watched it (because I just knew it was going to make me cry!) and it was so great! I got a bit choked up at the end, but it wasn't as bad as I first imagined.

I would dare say that this was a super eventful day and I loved every minute of it! It was a great way to spend our weekend :)
