T-Ball!

Well I think its about time two things happen. One...it's time for a new post. And two...it's time for that post to be from me! I can't have Megan doing all the work! I am not as great at this as she is but I will give it my best shot!

It has been two months now since our last post. I'd like to say a lot has happened but we really are just plugging along. The biggest news I think is that Kaden has started playing T-ball! It certainly is great fun being able to go twice a week and watch him anf the other kids play. It takes me back to the time I enjoyed as a child playing baseball. It is something I have greatly missed and wished I wouldn't have given it up. But now I have a new opportunity, well WE do. Megan volunteered to help and was named coach of Kade's little team! With her as coach, naturally our fathers and I have gladly helped out as well.

It is a new experience for me working with children and I have to say I really love it! It can be a bit of a handful at times trying to get the kids to do what they are supposed to but it is a great experience nonetheless. You have to step back and realize they are still only 4 and 5 years old!

Watching these games is a hoot! With kids this young they all want to go get the ball when it is hit out to the field. It's really like herding chickens...they all go where the ball does. You try and teach them to stay where they are and wait for the ball to come to them, but the very next ball ends in the same result...a herd of children fumbling for a baseball. They have a great time though and I enjoy working with them and helping them get better. It's also great to work alongside my amazing girl, Megan.

This is something I will look forward to with every coming year being able to help these kids, especially Kade, learn to play the great game of baseball. I look forward to being able to be involved in whatever Kade wants to play or do. He is a great kid. And getting to spend time with him and Megan is the greatest time I have. I could not ask for better in my life. They are amazing.
