Spring Break!

Kaden and I have a FaNtAsTiC 10 days of us! We are on Spring Break!!! Woo! I have been doing the countdown for these ten days since the beginning of March. It's going to be a great time spent doing lots of fun things :)

I have been worried about Kaden getting bored a lot over the break... So I decided to come up with at least one activity per day that we could do together! Genius right? I think so! Today was full of options, but it was the first day of break, so of course I got caught up in the cleaning aspect. Lucky for me, I had an awesome helper who was ready to do whatever I needed!

Once the days festivities were over, we settled in for a Friday night at home. Which I happen to love :) Our first activity was to make Easter Bunny Bait! I found the original idea on Pinterest, shocker, but we did make it our own! This is an AWESOME activity to have kiddos help out with. Kaden got to do most of it and he really loved it!

For our Bunny Bait we used, Rice Chex, Popcorn, M&M's, Pretzel sticks, Sprinkles and Vanilla Almond Bark.

First Step: Pop that Popcorn!

Carefully measure 2 cups of Pretzel sticks...

Add 2 cups of Rice Chex!

Dump the Popcorn in! (On a side note: Pull out the kernels that didn't pop. We learned this the hard way!)

Mix it up!

Melt the Almond Bark! (This is totally a parent job...)

Add M&M's :)

Add half a bag of Cabury Mini Eggs! (Note: The shell on these eggs are thinner than M&M's. Next time I would add them after the while chocolate had cooled a bit.)

Prep a large baking pan with foil! (I used our square 16x16 cake pan)

Add the Almond Bark (another parent job)

Stir it up!

Pour into pan :)

It's Sprinkle Time!

Finished Product!

Put some on and Egg shaped plate and have at it!

Oh Wait!!! Add HOP for an extra special treat :)

Our first day of activities went fabulous! I hope you like this too!

Joseph

Earlier this month we went on a Family Night adventure to see "Joseph" that was being put on at the Terrace Play house. I was super excited and I thought Kade would like it too! Come to find out... He did!

Parent Day

At Bravo, the school where I teach and Kaden attends Kindergarten, we get to participate in Parent Day! It's a great time for the kids as they get to show off for their parents. I'm always super torn on parent day because I'm typically in running my own parent day while Kaden is in performing his. So the easiest solution is to call in the Grandma's! They are so great to take time out of their day to come and support Kade!

I was able to sneak in for the first part of Kaden's program and it was so cute! Kade did such a good job at his parts! I have darling video of the things I missed... always a good thing for a mom who really wanted to be there!

Kade's cute class getting all ready to go!

Reading on the word wall! Kaden got up for his turn and read every single word up there! I'm so proud of him!

Kade got to be the "Mouse Painting His house... Down by the bay!"

Great Grandma came to watch and help with the art project!

Kade worked super hard to make his rainbow!

Kade and Grandma :)

The Grandma's :)

Kade and his AWESOME teacher Ms. Halladay! We absolutely adore her! She's the best teacher we ever could've asked for!

Kade and his cute friend Dallin! They get to go to Kindergarten together in the fall :)

After regular parent day, Kade had to rush off to his tumbling class. He has been loving his tumbling class and he's been learning a ton! It's been interesting to see how he's morphed into being the leader in that class. When he first started he was in there with a bunch of kids his age, now he is the oldest and there are quite a few young kids in there with him. He does a great job in tumbling and I'm very glad that we made the decision to have him try it out!

Receiving his ribbon!

Kade and Ms. Bossman! She's done such a great job teaching tumbling!! We just love her :)
